ohh... I agree I miss most of the things you put down. Sometimes I miss just waking up in the morning after a very full night of sleep and just lounge on the couch with a good book by the fire place with no responsibilities. But I will give anything up for Seth; you know what I mean don't you...
My daughter is 13 months and let me tell you most of those things come back and they are that much sweeter :)
Eating sugar? What's wrong with that? (She says, munching on some chocolate.) No, seriously, I don't know.
I miss most of these as well. Only I would kill for six hours of sleep. And I also really miss going to the gym, but I think I may get to go on Monday so hurray!
Yes, I miss some of those things too... most of all the 'world travelling' I miss out, which only included Canada before the babies came but still! It was the spontaneous road trips that made it fun...
Soon you'll be able to do some of those things again without worry or guilt.... hang in there!! :)
#9 is questionable
I think this is why some people do not want to become parents.
I miss things too, but one day this will all feel so normal, like you were always like this. Thus, why people have jobs outside of home, hire sitters and nannies.
Try to find some "you" time as you can get it.
Of course you miss things. Routines get easier. Bedtimes longer. You'll be amazed at quickly it all comes back..!
My girl is having IVF soon and I'm dying to join the league of grannies. I'm sure even after success she'll feel those things too.
Yes, when they sleep longer, you regain more of those things on the list.
My baby is two 1/2 months old now and I miss eating a meal with everyone else (instead of taking turns).
I miss taking long showers.
I miss sleeping in...
